Ms. Friska could not help her sadness when she had to give birth to her child at which the pregnancy age was less than it should be. Her gestational age was only 36 weeks, but she had to have c-section surgery immediately. Mrs. Friska's baby was born at a premature age with a low birth weight. Low birth weight (LBW) is a baby born with a body weight lower than the average baby's weight.
Babies are declared to have LBW if they weigh less than 2.5 kilograms, while the baby's normal weight is above 2.5 or 3 kilograms. While for babies born weighing less than 1.5 kilograms, it is stated that they have a very low birth weight. The main cause and the most common is premature birth, which is labor that occurs before 37 weeks' gestation. Premature babies do not have time to experience rapid growth that occurs in the final trimester of pregnancy.
Thus, Mrs. Friska's baby had to be treated for days at the hospital. Because she was born prematurely, Ms. Friska and her husband did not have the chance to register their children to the national insurance company, in fact, the costs required for hospital care were very expensive for them.
Ms. Friska's husband was an employee with average income, while Ms. Friska herself does not work. They are very devastated and confused when looking for funds for their baby's medical care.
Let's help Mrs. Friska's baby!
