Viara, a girl from Situbondo, East Java, has been struggling for many years. At the end of 2011, Viara had an appendectomy, but after the surgery, there was an intestinal adhesion many times which is up to 7 surgeries, and at the 4th operation, Viara's abdominal sutures were released so that the intestine decomposed out. The intestine must be cut more than 1 meter and must be removed by colostomy, and at that time Viara gone coma in the ICU for 50 days. After being released from the ICU, Viara was diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus, malnutrition, cerebral hemorrhage and kidney failure. As a result of kidney failure she suffered, she had to run hemodialysis three times a week until now.
In 2016, Viara had the 8th operation, namely intestinal connection. The operating costs are obtained by selling the novel "My Little Girl" story about the journey of Viara written by Viara's own father as an initiative to seek funding for Viara's treatment because previously the father's assets had run out for medical expenses.
Seeing Viara whose condition was getting heavier due to her kidney complications, the doctor advised Viara to immediately operate a kidney transplant with her own mother's donor. The operating costs require very much funds and are not properly covered by insurance.
Viara's condition is not as strong and cheerful as it used to be, now her daily life can hardly be separated from oxygen and moaning in pain every night. Viara's body becomes thinner and she must even use wheelchairs as she hardly can walk. Viara's parents have tried their best as much as possible. In between hemodialysis schedules, Viara creates handicrafts such as bracelets, necklaces, bags, etc., which are sold in hospitals. Viara also sells it online in hopes of helping her father in collecting funds for her kidney transplant. Viara always encouraged herself by singing "Don't Give Up" because for her, suffering did not always have to be greeted with tears.
Currently, Viara requires the cost of HLA and DSA examinations for kidney transplants and several other medical needs. Viara's parents have tried their best to collect costs.
Let's help realize Viara's hopes and dreams for kidney transplants so she can go to school and play with her friends!
