The crying sound of a newborn is very valuable. Not only signifies the happiness of the birth of a baby to his parents, but it also becomes one of the benchmarks that the baby is born healthyly. Rian, a baby born in Bandung did not immediately cry at birth and experience shortness of breath. This is very worrying for his mother.
Rian was diagnosed with respiratory distress syndrome. Respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) is a respiratory disorder that affects newborns. RDS rarely occurs in term infants. This disorder is more common in premature babies born around 6 weeks or more before their due date. Rian was born at the age of late premature, which is around the age of 36 weeks. In addition, Rian also suffered from severe sepsis. Sepsis is an excessive and toxic response from the body to infection. When an infection occurs, our body will produce various chemical compounds to fight the infection. The chemical compounds produced will trigger an inflammatory response that results in a series of changes in bodily functions, resulting in damage to various organ systems.
As a result, babies who also experience hyperbilirubinemia must be hospitalized for days after birth. The cost required for Rian medical care is also quite large, which is around 30 million rupiah. Rian's father works as a cleaning service and the mother is a cellphone salesclerk. They have tried to collect costs of up to 20 million rupiah, but they still cannot cover the costs needed. This young couple was very sorry for not having the chance to register their children with BPJS.
Let's help Rian's medical expenses!
