A child cannot choose at what health condition he/she will born. Arkhan had to accept the fact that he had a down syndrome since birth. Down syndrome is the most common genetic disorder that causes differences in learning abilities and certain physical characteristics. Normally, there are 46 chromosomes in a person's cell that are inherited, which is 23 chromosomes from father and mother, but most people with Down syndrome have 47 chromosomes. The body development and brain performance will change if there are extra or abnormal chromosomes, and that is the cause of Down syndrome.
Not only that, Arkhan also has type I and III laryngomalacia, small patent ductus arteriosus, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and has a history of recurrent community pneumonia.
Some time ago Arkhan experienced shortness of breath and vomiting which made him rushed to the hospital. This youngest of 3 siblings turned out to be allergic to cow's milk. Cow's milk allergy occurs because the baby's immune system reacts with proteins in cow's milk. Allergy to cow's milk actually occurs due to the reaction of the child's immune system with proteins contained in cow's milk. The type of protein that most often causes allergies is whey and casein. Babies who have allergies can be allergic to one or both of these proteins. Reactions that appear usually occur within minutes or hours after consuming milk.
Because of its allergic conditions, Arkhan was unable to consume regular formula milk. He needs certain milk which contains extensive dihydrolisate protein to meet his nutritional and fluid needs. Unfortunately, Arkhan's parents are unable to buy the milk because the price is quite expensive. His father was only a daily laborer and his mother did not work. Both of his siblings were still at school age who had many daily needs and could not support the family economy.
Let's help Arkhan to improve his condition!
